Details: Honorable Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Mr. Justice Aamer Farooq formally inaugurated the digitalization and automation of district judiciary ICT along with the main district judiciary complex.(building) Islamabad High Court Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Amir Farooq while addressing the Islamabad Bar Ceremony said that this is the era of artificial intelligence, and technology is increasing, if we do not use technology, we will be left behind. Hon'ble Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Mr. Justice Aamir Farooq announced the newly implemented digital systems for district judiciary in which public facilitation initiatives include e-notices via SMS/Email, KIOSK machines for case information, online court proceeding displays, virtual hearings via video link, copy management system (for the provision of certified copies) and, one window information desks. After the complete implementation of the newly in-house developed digital system (MIS), Bar and Bench will be integrated through digital systems for member registration and unique identification, among other features. These features of the digital system will provide authenticated records of lawyers and the current status of the licenses of bar members. Similarly, the Integration of District Courts with the Jail through a newly developed digital system will allow the Jail administration to access warrants promptly upon their issuance. Integration of District Courts with Police through a newly developed digital system will allow the Police to share FIR and accused records directly with District Courts and High Courts. The "Management Information System" of District Courts, ICT is a comprehensive digital solution designed to streamline and optimize the handling of cases in district courts. The judicial process can be complex and time-consuming, often burdened by paperwork and outdated procedures. This new system aims to address these challenges by providing a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly platform for managing cases. Automation of internal branches and district courts through a Management Information System (MIS) supports swift justice with centralized judicial records, efficient resource allocation, and improved communication. All digital systems have been developed in-house by Mr. Umer Rasheed Dar, Incharge/Assistant Registrar IHC. This in-house development has resulted in negligible financial costs for the digital system.

It has been wrongly reported in some sections of the press that the Islamabad High Court and District Courts have been closed indefinitely by the Court Administration.
It is clarified that Islamabad Bar Council, Islamabad High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association Islamabad had announced a strike. Therefore in order to avoid inconvenience to the general public and lawyers, the cause lists were cancelled for one day. However the Islamabad High Court and District Courts are fully functional now and carrying out regular court work, to serve the public.
The Honourable Chief Justice and all the Honourable Judges are performing their functions and are present in their respective chambers.

Details: In continuation of this Court Circular No. 9428/Genl/IHC dated 16 March 2020, regarding the measures adopted for social distancing, and keeping in view the increasing number of Coronavirus COVID-19 patients, and the expected future increase, the competent authority has directed that:
(i) The courts as well as all the branches of the Islamabad High Court and the District Courts, should operate with bare minimum duty Judges, as well as staff, on rotation.
(ii) The District & Session Judges are requested to issue the orders accordingly, and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all concerned.

(iv) All the female staff have been advised to stay at home.

Therefore, all the selected candidates through written test are required to submit their complete CV on or before 15-03-2018 at the email address (webmaster@ihc.gov.pk).

Details: The Islamabad high court celebrated the 70th independence anniversary of motherland with full zeal and pledged to be unite to safeguard the country against any threat. In this connection a graceful ceremony was held at Islamabad High court building which was chaired by Chief Justice, Muhammad Anwar khan kasi. Judges of high court, Registrar of IHC, advocate general Islamabad, District and session judges, judges of special courts, bar members, senior lawyers, media persons and a large number of children honored the event with their participation. Chief Justice while addressing the gathering, said that it was necessary to unite under the constitution of Pakistan in the interest of nation by ensuring its supremacy. He stressed that the people needed to shun their differences and come together to secure the country's future. Chief justice hoisted the national flag following which the national anthem was recited and special prayers were offered for the prosperity, integrity and solidarity of the country and success of the long drawn struggle of kashmiris as well.
