 INTRODUCTION:
The Member Inspection Team Islamabad High Court is mandated to evaluate, supervise and monitor the performance of District Judiciary as the High Courts under Article 203 of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973 are required to do so. The MIT office was set-up in the year 2011 (soon after the establishment of this Court through 18th Amendment in the constitution) for proper check and monitor the performance of Judges in District Judiciary under the dynamic supervision of the Hon'ble Chief Justice / Hon'ble Inspection Judge. Primarily, code of conduct was approved for the judges of subordinate judiciary followed by the key performance indicators.

 SCOPE:
The prescribed duties, functions and powers of the MIT wing are as under:

     To monitor the weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly institution, disposal and performance of subordinate judiciary.
     To measure the performance of judicial officers in specific and subordinate judiciary in general as well as para-legal staff, process server agencies etc.
     To inspect the sub-ordinate courts at random and/or on the direction of the Hon’ble Chief Justice/Inspection Judges.
     To examine the notes of Jail Inspections conducted by the District & Sessions Judges of the respective Sessions Division & Civil District and forward the same to the Hon’ble Chief Justice with appropriate proposals including taking of actions.
     To redress the grievances of the public relating to delays, obstacles and irregularities in the disposal of the cases by the subordinate courts as well as the grievances of the public arising due to illegalities, high-handedness, violation of rules and regulations by the concerned official functionaries with the approval of the Hon’ble chief Justice.
     To undertake, perform and comply with the direction(s) or any other task specially assigned by the Hon’ble Chief Justice or any judge of the Hon’ble High Court.
     To entertain and process the application and complaints of all kinds.
     To study weaknesses, bottlenecks of the procedure and the system and make recommendations for removal of the same and present the same before the Hon’ble Chief Justice or the Administration Committee.
