In view of the current global and regional situation and in pursuance of decision of NJPMC taken in its virtual meeting dated 10.03.2026, as well as in line with the policy of the Government of Pakistan as envisaged vide Notification No. 7-2/2026-Min.I dated 09.03.2026, following austerity and fuel conservation measures have been adopted in Islamabad High Court as well as District Judiciary, Islamabad
In order to reduce fuel consumption and operational cost, Islamabad High
Court shall observe Four-Days Working Week (Monday to Thursday) with
necessary administrative arrangements to ensure continuity of urgent judicial
and administrative functions. The Court shall observe holidays from Friday to
Sunday.
During such holidays, the staff shall be available on call/WhatsApp and will
not leave the station without written approval of the competent authority.
All the Hon'ble Courts of IHC will work with fifty percent (50%) capacity.
Registrar / MIT will work from home on rotation on weekly basis.
The District Courts, Islamabad will work for four days a week (Monday to
Thursday) with full capacity; while, the District Judges shall depute the duty
judges for disposal of criminal as well as civil work of urgent nature on Friday
& Saturday along with bare minimum staff.
